IMMOEAST devaluations and writedowns reach EUR 1.02 bn for Q2 2008/09

After receiving and reviewing the appraisal report submitted by external valuers, IMMOEAST AG hereby announces that the quarterly results for Q2 2008/09 will be affected by devaluations and writedowns totalling around EUR 1.02 bn.

The revaluation of the real estate portfolio will account for around EUR -465 m. This reflects the negative price developments in the real estate markets as a result of the large reduction in transaction volume compared to previous years. Furthermore, writedowns for real estate inventories and properties under construction will have a negative impact on results of around EUR -350 m; writedowns on accounts receivables and goodwill is around EUR -210 m. Financial results for the second quarter will also be negative at around

EUR -510 m.

These effects will also have an impact on IMMOFINANZ AG's results within the scope of the full consolidation of IMMOEAST AG. Whether devaluations are also necessary at the other two regional holdings (IMMOAUSTRIA and IMMOWEST), and the possible scope thereof, is currently being determined as part of the ongoing preparation of the half-year report.
